Candidate tagging helps you organize and quickly find relevant candidates in your database. By adding tags, your team can categorize candidates by skills, experience, status, or any custom criteria that fit your hiring workflow.

Manage tagging permissions

Owners and Admins can control who can create and edit candidate tags.

To update tagging permissions:

1. From the left-side menu, go to Settings > Access > Permissions.

2. Under Company roles > Candidate management, enable or disable Add and edit candidate tags for the relevant roles.

   

Create tags

1. From the left-side menu, navigate to Library > Tags.
2. Click ➕ Add tag.

3. Give your new tag a name and color, and click Add.

   

Merge tags

1. From the left-side menu, navigate to Library > Tags.

2. Merge two tags by giving them the same name.

   

Delete tags

1. From the left-side menu, navigate to Library > Tags.

2. Hover your mouse over the tag you’d like to remove.

3. Click the ✖️ and Delete.

Add tags to candidates

To tag a candidate:

1. Navigate to the relevant candidate and click ➕Add tag.

2. Select an option from the dropdown. 

   • Teammates with Owner or Admin roles also have the option to add new ones by clicking on Manage tags.

     

    

Search by tags

Quick search

Type any tag name in the search box at the top of the main page to quickly display candidates with this tag.

Talent search

1. From the left-side menu, select Talent search.
2. Add the Tags filter to search for multiple tags.

3. Click Search to display candidates with these tags.
