   Plan: All plans

Role: Teammates who can view other teammates’ evaluations ⚙️

The AI Evaluation Summary gives you a one-glance summary of where a candidate stands based on all available feedback, including interviews, Reference Checks, and AI Resume Review steps. The summary provides a structured overview that highlights:

  • Pros: Strengths and positive feedback from evaluators.
  • Concerns: Risks or red flags that could affect the candidate’s performance in the role.
  • Areas for further review: Topics that may require clarification or follow-up interviews.

📝Note: The AI Evaluation Summary is designed to assist you, not replace human judgment. It helps summarize key points from evaluations, but does not make hiring decisions. You remain in full control of interpreting results and deciding next steps.

Prerequisites

Before you can use AI Evaluation Summary, make sure:

  • An Admin or Owner has enabled the feature in Settings > Data > Spark Hire AI.
  • At least one evaluation is submitted for the candidate, including interviews, Reference Checks, and AI Resume Review.
  • An Admin or Owner has configured your company’s evaluation visibility settings, which determine who can view the summaries (for example, some teams restrict access until evaluators submit their own feedback).

How it works

💡Once enabled, the AI Evaluation Summary reviews and organizes candidate evaluations into a structured summary. The quality of the summary depends heavily on the quality of the feedback it receives.

The AI becomes most effective when it has a diverse set of inputs to analyze. The more notes you input in the interview section, the more evaluations the AI can draw from and the more robust and reliable the summary becomes.

  1. After evaluations are submitted, the AI automatically processes all available feedback, including interviews, Reference Checks, and AI Resume Review steps. The AI Evaluation Summary processes the following types of feedback:

    • Interview evaluations, including:
      • Pros
      • Concerns
      • Areas for further review
      • Interviewer notes
    • AI Resume Review
    • Reference Checks

The summary does not process or analyze:

    • Scorecards
    • Comments in the Activity section or Slack
    • One-Way Video Interviews
  2. If evaluations existed before the feature was activated, you can manually generate a summary by clicking Generate AI summary.

📝 Note: Once that initial summary is created, the AI will automatically update it after each new evaluation is submitted.

  3. The summary appears at the top of the Evaluation tab in the candidate’s profile.
  4. The summary is grouped into three sections that you can expand or collapse:

    • Pros: Strengths and positive feedback from evaluators.
    • Concerns: Risks or improvement areas mentioned.
    • Areas for further review: Topics that may require clarification or follow-up interviews.

The expanded version of the sections includes the evaluator’s name, the interview step, and whether the point appeared in more than one evaluation.
