Spark Hire Recruit's app for Slack is your go-to solution for efficient recruiting collaboration. It keeps your hiring team connected, informed, and engaged, making the entire process smoother and more enjoyable. Integrate your Spark Hire Recruit account with Slack to instantly expedite your workflows and collaborate with teammates and candidates in context:

  • Communication – Enhance collaboration and communication with your hiring team using this seamless integration. Receive notifications about messages from recruiters and managers and quickly reply without ever leaving Slack. This feature fosters a more efficient and engaging hiring experience for all parties involved.

  • Approvals – Stay in the loop with instant notifications about new job openings and offer letters that require your approval. With the convenience of Slack, you can review, approve, or reject these items directly within the chat interface, saving you time and keeping the process moving forward.

  • Reminders – Never miss a beat with timely reminders for essential hiring tasks. The app sends you gentle nudges, ensuring that you're always up-to-date with the recruiting process and making informed decisions.

  • Notifications – Stay informed with real-time updates about interviews and hiring tasks. This ensures your team is on the same page, promoting a well-coordinated and effective hiring process.

📝 Note: Users can choose whether to integrate with Slack individually and then manage their notification preferences. To do this, an Admin must first integrate Slack at the Company level for every relevant workspace.

Before getting started

  • You must have an Owner or Admin role in Recruit to configure the integration.
  • You need owner access to your Slack workspace account.

Configure integration at the company level

  1. From the left-side menu, go to Apps.

  2. Under Collaboration, select the Slack tile, then Continue to setup.

  3. Click Activate and review the required permissions (see below). Click Allow to enable the integration for your Slack workspace.

  4. Log in to your Slack account and enable the Recruit app for Slack. Once integrated, you will see an active status and the name of the enabled workspace.

⚠️ Important: If you remove the workspace at any time, users integrated via that workspace will no longer receive Recruit notifications. Learn more about removing Slack at the company level.

Permissions granted to Slack

When integrating Slack, you need to grant certain permissions to ensure the Recruit app functions optimally. See the list of required permissions and their purposes:

  • chat:write: Allows the Recruit app for Slack to send messages and updates in your workspace.

  • chat:write.customize: Allows the Recruit app for Slack to send messages with the Recruit name and avatar. This helps your team recognize Recruit notifications in Slack.

Next steps

After setting up the Slack integration with Recruit, you and your teammates need to activate the integration in your accounts before you can start using it.
