Plan: All plans
Role: All teammates
The Recruit Sourcing extension for Recruit is a great tool for recruiters searching for prospects on LinkedIn. The extension allows you to easily add prospects directly to Recruit from within LinkedIn and notifies you if the applicant is already in your Recruit candidate database.
Source candidates
1. Install the extension
It seems almost redundant to clarify this but Recruit Sourcing for Chrome only works with Google Chrome (and no, we aren’t prejudiced against Safari, Firefox, Opera, or other browsers in case you were wondering).
Install the Recruit Sourcing for Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. Once you’ve added the extension you will see the Recruit “Co” icon on the top right corner of the Chrome browser.
2. Add candidates to Recruit
When you visit a prospect’s LinkedIn profile, a pop-up window will open on the right of the screen so you can add them to Recruit directly from their profile.
Save the candidate’s profile as a PDF by clicking More > Save to PDF beneath the candidate’s picture.
Upload the saved profile PDF to the Recruit Sourcing extension. You can either drag-and-drop the saved profile directly into the Recruit Sourcing extension or click Upload file.
Choose the position to which you’d like to add the candidate. Recruit will automatically detect the candidate’s name in most cases.
Start the discussion with a colleague by adding a note and using @mention.
Click Add to Recruit.
Edit details
To edit the prospect’s details before adding them to Recruit, click on the Pencil icon (edit) and add additional details.
Candidate duplications
Duplication alert
Recruit identifies duplicate candidates when you're actively viewing the profile of the same prospect on LinkedIn. If you upload a candidate's PDF via the Recruit Sourcing Extension while you're looking at another prospect's profile, you won't get a duplication alert.
Manage duplications in Recruit
When viewing a profile that is an exact match to a candidate already in Recruit, the position and current workflow stage are displayed. Click Open to see the candidate’s full profile in Recruit.
If the prospect has similar details to a candidate in Recruit, candidates will appear one by one with a clarification option to choose Same person or Not the same person.
Same person: The LinkedIn profile will be added to the candidate.
Not the same person: The prospect can be added to Recruit by clicking Add to Recruit.
Uninstall the Recruit Sourcing for Chrome extension
To uninstall the extension:
On your browser, click the three dots on the top right.
Select Extension > Manage Extensions. The Chrome Extension page will open in a new tab.
