Plan: Ultimate
Role: Owner ✧ Admin ✧ Recruiter ✧ Recruiting coordinator
Recruit allows you to upload images that are shared on social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. In addition, you can easily add images for the company logo and social images for positions.
Image size
Each social network sets different requirements for the size of images. For best results, we suggest you abide by the following guidelines.
Minimum image dimensions: 1200 (w) x 630 (h) pixels
Max file size: 5 MB
Ratio: 1.91:1
Images for your company logo
For company logos, we support images in JPEG and PNG formats.
💡 Tip: Learn how to update your company logo.
Image not displaying on social media
Learn how to troubleshoot issues where the image is not displaying correctly based on your company's careers website setup. If you're encountering problems with image updates, see Updating images.
- Recruit's hosted website: Recruit automatically provides the necessary details to social media crawlers. Note that it may take up to 30 minutes for changes to take effect.
- Using Recruit's WordPress plugin: Ensure you're using the latest version of the Recruit plugin for WordPress. The plugin ensures optimal display of positions when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
- If you're using a separate plugin for sharing on your website, we recommend using YOAST, a fully compatible WordPress plugin for sharing and SEO.
-
Using a custom careers website: Check with your web developer that social meta tags (i.e.,
og:image) are included in the<head>section of the position pages for social media crawlers to read. For more information, visit the sharing best practices provided by Facebook and LinkedIn.
Updating images
When replacing an existing image, you may still encounter the previous version when sharing on social networks.
Ensure your company logo is in either JPEG or PNG format when updating. These formats offer optimal quality and file size for social media and digital platforms.
Using a custom careers website
If your company uses a custom careers website integrated with Recruit, it might employ a caching mechanism to manage visitor load on the website. This means that changes to position data in Recruit may not immediately reflect on the company website. Cached versions typically refresh every 30 minutes—for precise information, consult your website developers.
Sharing on LinkedIn
Make sure that the new image complies with the required image size as listed above (even if the former image didn’t).
LinkedIn caches information for 7 days, including images. To see the updated version of the image, repost the page on LinkedIn after this period.
Run your career page through the LinkedIn Post Inspector and refresh the cached content.
💡 Tip: See sharing best practices by LinkedIn.
Sharing on Facebook
Facebook keeps a cached version of every page after it is shared on Facebook for the first time. Facebook allows you to refresh the cached content of a page by following these steps:
Visit this page.
Paste the page URL and click Debug.
Click Scrape again. A few clicks may be required until the updated image is shown.
