Role: Teammates with permission to see candidate activity

Effective internal communication plays a vital role in the hiring process. Foster collaboration and enhance team coordination by leaving comments and initiating conversations about a candidate—all documented on the candidate's profile.

Start a conversation

  • To add a comment on a candidate profile, click Comment, enter your text, and click Post.

  • To start a conversation, mention or tag someone by typing "@" + the teammate’s name.

To notify several people, you can choose one of your groups, for example: Position recruiters and Position leadership (includes the hiring manager, managers, and recruiters of the position).

⚠️ The list of teammates only includes those allowed to see the candidate according to their role in the position and company, and according to visibility settings of the discussion. If you don’t see a teammate in the list when typing "@", the teammate you're looking for most certainly doesn't have permission to see that discussion.

Continue the discussion

All the teammates who are tagged/mentioned will get an email message with the discussion thread. This email is sent from Recruit and has a unique reply-to email address —the discussion email address— that allows Recruit to add the reply to the correct thread on the correct candidate card.

This unique reply-to email address is only visible when you click Reply in the original email that you received. Replying to a discussion email will send your response to all participants in the thread.

📝 Note: To prevent sending duplicate emails, use "Reply" rather than "Reply all." Using "Reply all" will send each participant one email from your address and another through Recruit.

Please note that discussion email addresses are saved in Outlook and Gmail. In the future, when sending an email, double-check to ensure you're sending the message to the intended recipient, so when you type a teammate's name, you don't accidentally select their discussion email address instead of their primary email.

Comment visibility

Determine who can view the comment posted by selecting one of the visibility options:

  • Anyone with access to the position

  • Hiring manager, managers, and recruiters of the position

  • The position's recruiters

  • Only you
