Video interviews make scheduling easier and help speed up the hiring process while reducing costs compared to in-person meetings.
With Recruit’s Zoom-powered video interviews, you can conduct high-quality virtual interviews, creating a smoother experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
How it works
The interviewer sends an invitation including a Zoom link. This link is then added to the calendar invitation sent to all participants, as well as the email for the candidate.
When the scheduled interview arrives, the interviewer navigates to the relevant interview step and clicks Interview to get started.
From the interview page, the interviewer clicks Join meeting to launch Zoom and start the meeting.
When multiple interviewers join the same interview, the first interviewer to join is elected as the host. The original host can then grant co-host privileges or transfer host privileges using the Manage Participants option.
The candidate joins via the link provided in the interview invitation.
Hosts can each record the meeting locally on their own devices independently of each other.
FAQ
I’m already using Zoom in our company. Can I use the Recruit integration with my company’s Zoom account?
It is not possible to integrate the company’s Zoom account with Recruit. Using the Recruit integration with Zoom makes sure that each interview has its own unique virtual Zoom meeting room and is not associated with a specific user. That way, even when interviewers change, the link to the Zoom meeting room always stays the same. This helps avoid instances where you need to resend the invites to the different participants.
How is usage calculated?
The monthly limit is defined by video hours. Video hours are counted by the duration of the interviews according to the number of participants. For example, an hour-long interview of 2 interviewers and one candidate will be counted as 3 video hours.
