Plan: All plans
Role: Admin ✧ Owner ✧ Hiring team
By default, Recruit restricts interviewers from viewing candidate evaluations by other hiring team members until they have completed their own interview and submitted an evaluation. This helps prevent bias and ensures interviewers form independent opinions before reviewing feedback from others.
💡Tip: View the full list of roles & permissions at the position level.
Allow interviewers access to previous evaluations
You can adjust whether interviewers can view evaluations at both the company level and the position level.
On the company level
👤Role: Owner ✧ Admin
From your avatar at the top right, go to Settings > Access > Permissions.
-
Scroll down to Activity visibility > Interviewers can see evaluations submitted by others and select one of the options from the dropdown:
Interviewers can always see evaluations
Interviewers can only see evaluations after their step in the candidate workflow to prevent bias
Interviewers can never see evaluations
⚠️ Important: Changing the permission on the company level will affect all users with the Interviewer role in all positions and for all candidates.
On the position level
👤 Role: Teammates assigned to interview steps
To allow interviewers to access evaluations for a specific position, you can assign them the Viewer role in that position’s settings.
The interviewer is unable to access a previous evaluation
If an interviewer is restricted from viewing previous evaluations based on the selected permission, they will only see:
The recommendation badge (No hire, Not sure, Proceed, Strong hire)
The "Further review" field (visible to all teammates with access to the position)
A message stating: "You don’t have permission to see the complete evaluation."
Additional limitations
Permissions cannot be managed for a specific user on the company level; they can only be adjusted in each position by adding another role that allows access to the previous evaluations.
Recruit does not allow restricting access to a specific interview step evaluation (for instance, an HR Interview). Access is managed for all interview evaluations in the position.
Specific sections of the evaluation cannot be hidden from other interviewers (except for the Salary expectations field).
-
Access to interview evaluations in past processes, where the interviewer is not part of the hiring team, is managed by a different permission setting:
