Recruit's Auto-Scheduling saves you a lot of time by allowing you to automate the process of scheduling interviews.

Before getting started

You might need your IT manager to help you set up your business account calendars for the integration.

How does Recruit access your company's calendars?

Recruit can use one of the following options to access the interviewers' and meeting room calendars:

  • Via the calendar of the teammate who schedules the interview.

  • Via the calendar of the dedicated scheduling user calendar.

  • Via the scheduling user's calendar, in case the teammate does not have the required permissions to access the relevant calendars.

Which permissions are required for Auto-scheduling?

Whether you use a teammate's calendar or a dedicated Scheduling User, the calendar needs the following permissions to be able to use Auto-Scheduling successfully:

  • See only free/busy (Google)/ Can view when I'm busy (Office 365): Required for Basic version. This permission will allow access to the interviewer's general availability and interview time slots set in Recruit's personal profile.​

  • See all event details (Google)/ Can view all details (Office 365): Required for Pro version. This permission will allow access to the interviewer's general availability and interview time slots set directly in the calendar.

  • Make changes to events (Google)/ Can edit (Office 365): Required for Pro version. This permission will allow access to the meeting room availability and schedule meetings in the meeting room calendar.

Scheduling user

Recruit recommends creating a scheduling user for Auto-scheduling and applying all the necessary permissions to this calendar. It will serve as a fallback option in case the teammate's calendar does not have all the necessary permissions.
