4 steps to maximize job board exposure

Follow these best practices to make the most of Recruit’s integrated job boards and expand your positions’ reach online.

1. Verify your Careers website

Make sure your Careers website URL is correct:

If you’re using the Recruit API: Recruit will automatically identify individual job pages on your website, ensuring candidates from job boards are directed to the correct job page.

Haven’t integrated the Recruit API yet? We highly recommend it! It keeps your website in sync with Recruit, enables easy job applications, tracks candidate sources, and supports employee referral programs. Learn more here.

2. Locations

Ensure all office locations are correctly set up:

Why this matters:
Job boards validate city and country details to ensure postings are accurate. Spelling errors or missing details may prevent your positions from appearing on search results.

3. Activate the job boards

Set your job boards to Automatic or Manual mode:

  • Go to Company settings > Job boards to configure your preferences.

    • Automatic mode: All published positions are posted automatically.

    • Manual mode: Post positions selectively from the position’s page.

📝 Note: Positions must meet the job board’s minimum requirements (e.g., job description, city, and country) to be published successfully.

4. Post your published positions

Post directly to integrated job boards:

  • Go to any position’s Sources tab, then scroll down to post the position instantly.

⚠️ Important:

  • The position must be set to Published to post.

  • Changes may take up to 24 hours to appear on job boards.
