Automatic update of candidates’ contact details in Recruit
📝 Note: This applies only to candidates who were manually exported from LinkedIn or who applied using the Apply with LinkedIn button.
When a candidate chooses to share their contact information with the recruiter, their profile in Recruit is automatically updated. This includes the candidate’s email address, phone number, and LinkedIn profile, all without any action required from the user.
Prerequisites
Apply Connect or RSC integrations must be enabled with a LinkedIn Recruiter account.
Visibility and permissions
By default, only Recruiter, Admin, or Owner roles can see the LinkedIn activity on the candidate profile.
When creating InMail messages and notes in LinkedIn Recruiter, users can choose the visibility level for the conversation or note. Only items created with the visibility level of "Anyone in my organization" are imported to Recruit.
đź’ˇ Tip: When hiring for discreet positions, set the visibility level of new InMail conversations and notes to "Only me" on LinkedIn Recruiter. This ensures they remain private and are not visible in Recruit.
LinkedIn profile tab
After you enable the Apply Connect (with a Recruiter account) or RSC integrations, the LinkedIn tab is displayed on the candidate profile when a candidate is exported to Recruit. This tab allows you to view the candidate’s LinkedIn profile and send InMail messages (if enabled) directly from Recruit.
To view relevant LinkedIn data, navigate to the candidate's profile and click the LinkedIn tab.
When a candidate doesn't have a matching LinkedIn profile, you will see suggested LinkedIn profiles. Find the correct one in the list and click Link to connect it with the candidate.
If you’re seeing the wrong LinkedIn profile, click Unlink to disconnect it from the candidate. You can then link the candidate to the correct LinkedIn profile.
The LinkedIn profile tab is not supported on Safari. For more information, see this LinkedIn page.

If you don’t have a LinkedIn Recruiter seat, you can still view the basic LinkedIn profile from the candidate's profile in Recruit if your company has a Recruiter Corporate license.
LinkedIn activity on the candidate’s Activity log
What's included
InMail conversations with the candidate and notes posted on the candidate's LinkedIn profile in LinkedIn Recruiter.
Activity across all hiring processes of the candidate. LinkedIn activity items are not associated with a specific hiring process.
The LinkedIn activity items are not shown in the recent activity view; they are only displayed from the LinkedIn activity view.

From Recruit, navigate to the relevant candidate.
Click on the activity filter (showing Recent activity by default).

📝 Note: Only candidates who were manually exported from LinkedIn or applied using the Apply with LinkedIn button will have their LinkedIn activity visible in Recruit.
Highlights from LinkedIn in the candidate list
The "Highlights from LinkedIn" widget shows you essential information about candidates from their LinkedIn profiles when hovering over the LinkedIn icon in the candidate list. This widget is enabled by default when integrating the Apply Connect package with a Recruiter Account.
⚠️ Important: Hiring managers will see the LinkedIn Highlights Widget for candidates who applied off-site (not using Easy Apply), but will not see it for candidates who applied using Easy Apply. Find more details in LinkedIn’s list of permissions.
