Add a resume
š¤ Role: Only teammates with permission to edit the candidate will be able to upload/update their resume.
To add a resume to a candidate:
- Navigate to the relevant candidate and go to theĀ ApplicationĀ tab.
- Click onĀ Upload resume.
View current and previous resume versions
š¤ Role: Only teammates with permission to view past processes for positions can view candidates' past resume versions.
To add multiple versions of a resume to a candidate:
- Navigate to the relevant candidate and go to theĀ ApplicationĀ tab. You will see that a resume has been uploaded, along with the timestamp indicating when it was added.
- Click onĀ the upload iconĀ and upload a new CV.
- From theĀ ApplicationĀ tab on the candidate card, click on the three dots (...) and selectĀ Make primary. The primary resume will be the default option visible to others when viewing the candidate's profile.
- You can toggle between resumes by clicking on the timestamp dropdown and choosing the version you'd like to see.
Download, print, or delete the resume
š¤ Role:Ā All teammates with permission to view a CV canĀ download and printĀ that CV, but onlyĀ teammates with permission to edit the candidate canĀ deleteĀ resumes.
From theĀ ApplicationĀ tab on the candidate card, click on the three dots (...) and selectĀ Download,Ā Print, orĀ Delete resume.
FAQ
Why do I see a āFailed to load PDF fileā error when reviewing a resume?
A resume may not load if Recruit cannot read or access the file. This can happen for a few reasons:
- The PDF is damaged or was not created correctly
- The file is not a true PDF, even if the file name ends in .pdf
- The file is too large to preview
- A temporary network or access issue is preventing the file from loading
- The resume was not uploaded or processed correctly
To resolve the issue, download the resume and try opening it on your device. If the file does not open, ask the candidate to share a new PDF to upload.
If the file opens on your device but still does not load in Recruit, refresh the page and try again. If the issue continues, contact the Spark Hire Recruit support team atĀ recruit.support@sparkhire.com and include the candidateās name, the position, and a screenshot of the error.
