Change a lead’s outreach status

The outreach status of a lead tells you where you stand in your communication with potential candidates. It helps you track who you've contacted, who's responded, and who needs follow-up.

How outreach status updates work

Outreach statuses can be updated manually, but also update automatically in the following cases:

  • When you send an email to a lead through Recruit, their status automatically updates from Not contacted to Contacted.

  • When a lead responds to your email, their status automatically updates to Responded.

⚠️ Important: If the outreach status is updated automatically, it cannot be changed manually.

Manually update outreach status

  1. Navigate to the relevant lead’s profile and click Outreach status next to the source.

  2. Choose one of the options from the dropdown:

    1. Not contacted

    2. Contacted

    3. Responded

Once the lead’s outreach status is updated, a notification will appear in their Activity log, detailing the original and new statuses.
