Integration with HireRight

Spark Hire Recruit's integration with HireRight makes it simple to run background checks as part of your hiring workflow. Leverage the integration with HireRight to run checks and view candidate evaluations directly from Spark Hire Recruit.

1. Configure the integration

  1. From the left-side menu, go to Apps.

  2. Find HireRight in the following two places:

    1. Under sourcing tools: find the HireRight tile and select Continue to setup. Choose which positions you want to give HireRight access to and click Activate.

    2. Under Assessment or Background check: find the HireRight tile and select Continue to setup.

      ⚠️ Do not click Activate yet. The integration isn’t fully set up until you complete the next steps and have the API key.

2. Contact support

Once you've enabled HireRight in both places, email recruit.support@sparkhire.com and let the Spark Hire Support team know you’re setting up the HireRight integration.

  • They will ensure that both HireRight apps (Sourcing and Assessment) use the same API key.

  • Support will notify you once this is confirmed.

3. Provide the API key to HireRight

When you receive confirmation from support:

  1. Go back to the Apps page and find HireRight under the Assessment/Background check sections.

  2. Select the tile, then Continue to setup, and copy the API key to share itwith your HireRight technical tonsultant.

  3. Wait for HireRight to confirm that the integration has been enabled.

  4. Click Activate.

⚠️Important: Once the HireRight apps are activated, please avoid deactivating them unless absolutely necessary, as doing so will generate new API keys, which will require the Spark Hire support team to match them again.
