Canvass is a streamlined hiring platform, enabling teams to involve all stakeholders in the hiring process. Teammates can asynchronously review candidate videos, without adding unnecessary interview steps to the process.
Configure the integration
From the left-side menu, select Apps.

Search for Canvass on the list, select the tile, then Continue to setup.
Copy API key.
In your Canvass account, paste the Recruit API key, and add integration.
Return to Apps in Recruit, and click Activate. Your Canvass account is now integrated with Recruit.
Add Canvass to a workflow
Before getting started
Make sure your account owner or admin has configured the integration.
👤 Role: All teammates with permission to edit positions
In Recruit, click on a position and navigate to the position workflow.
Add a new step or select an existing one.
Change the step type to Canvass and select the relevant position (that you configured in Canvass).
Send assessments to candidates
When a candidate reaches a Canvass step in Recruit:
Click start. This will create the candidate in Canvass, link them to the selected interview type, and send them an email with instructions.
To skip the Canvass step in the candidate workflow, click Mark as completed.
If a candidate completes a myInterview interview, but the step in the flow was skipped (marked complete), the evaluation won’t appear in Recruit. Go to your Canvass account to view the results.
View assessment results
When a candidate passes, fails, or completes an assessment, the step is automatically marked as complete in Recruit. The teammate assigned to the step receives an email that the interview has been completed.
⏰When the step is completed in Canvass, it will take a few minutes to be updated in Recruit.
To view the results in Recruit, navigate to the Evaluation tab in the candidate profile.
Click Open on Canvass.
