UKG Pro is a cloud-based HRIS that helps organizations manage the entire employee lifecycle. With Recruit’s integration, you can automatically create a new employee record in UKG Pro when a candidate is marked as Hired in Recruit.

Prerequisites

To configure the integration, you need:

  • A UKG Pro service account or web services user with permission to create employee records.
  • Your UKG Pro API credentials, including the customer API key and tenant URL.

Limitations

  • Fields required by UKG Pro may not be marked as required in Recruit.
  • Attachments, including resumes and additional files, are not currently supported.

Configure the integration

  1. From the left-side menu, go to the Apps page.

  2. Search for UKG Pro, select the tile, then click Continue to setup.

  3. Choose whether teammates can skip creating a new UKG Pro employee profile when hiring someone who already works at your company.

  4. Click Activate.

  5. Follow the instructions to connect your UKG Pro account and complete the setup.

Working with UKG Pro

When a candidate’s status changes to Hired in Recruit, a New Hire form opens. The form displays the employee fields and available values pulled from UKG Pro.

Complete the required fields and confirm the hire. Recruit then sends the information to UKG Pro to create the employee record.

Depending on your UKG Pro configuration, this information may include:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email
  • Start date
  • Job title
  • Department
  • Business unit
  • Location
  • Other UKG Pro-specific fields

📝 Note: Because of UKG Pro API limitations, required fields may not always be marked as required in Recruit. If required information is missing, UKG Pro returns an error identifying what needs to be added.
