Paylocity is an all-in-one HR and payroll platform that helps companies manage employee data, payroll, benefits, and more.
By integrating Paylocity with Recruit, you can automatically send hired candidate details from Recruit to Paylocity, saving time and reducing manual data entry. This helps ensure new hire information is consistent and ready for onboarding, without needing to re-enter it across systems.
Configure the integration
From your avatar at the top right select the Apps page.
- Search for Paylocity, select the tile, then select Continue to setup.
- Decide whether you want to allow teammates to skip creating a new employee profile when hiring an existing employee by checking the box.
- Click Activate.

Follow the on-screen instructions to get your Paylocity API credentials.

Back in Recruit, enter your credentials and click Set up integration:
Company ID
Client ID

Client Secret
When setup is complete, you’ll see the Active status.
Working with the Paylocity integration
Once the integration is active, marking a candidate as Hired in Recruit will automatically create a new employee profile in Paylocity. The following details are sent:
First name
Middle name
Last name
Job title
Hire date
Effective date (start date)
Please note that when you push a candidate from Recruit into Paylocity, their basic information is sent over automatically, but some onboarding steps still need to be completed directly in Paylocity. For example, you may need to assign a department, create a username, or fill in other required fields.
These manual steps are expected and necessary to complete onboarding in Paylocity. While the integration speeds things up by sending candidate data over, the final setup always happens in Paylocity.
