Spark Hire Recruit's integration with HireRight makes it simple to run background checks as part of your hiring workflow.
Before getting started
Make sure your account owner or admin has activated the integration.
Add HireRight to your workflow
In Recruit, click on a position and navigate to the position workflow.
Add a new step or select an existing one.
Select HireRight from the list of available step names.
Select the relevant assessment from the dropdown menu. These options represent the different background check packages available to you.
-
The selected package will be displayed on the step.
When the order is initiated using this position, the package will be automatically selected.
You can update the package during the order initiation process to another package if you need to.
Create Custom position fields (Flex fields)
In addition to the Flex fields mapped via the integration by default, you can optionally set up additional custom Flex fields (Custom position Fields in Recruit). These fields can be used for reporting, invoicing, and other purposes.
From the left-side menu, go to Settings > Data > Position fields.
Click ➕Add Category.
-
Name the field something that makes it easy for your team to identify and then click Add.
You can select between dropdown and free text: Choose whether or not the recruiter and hiring manager can add free text, or opt for a pre-populated dropdown field.
Ensure to tick the Required to publish checkbox.
The field will be added as a new Position field. Once a field is created, it can be incorporated into the description when creating new positions or modifying existing ones.
Set up the relevant values for the new Position field (Flex field) on the relevant positions.
Provide the field name to your HireRight technicalconsultant. They will confirm once the field is configured.
Enable SMS text invites (optional)
The integration allows you to send SMS text invites in addition to email invitations.
