Role: Owner ✧ Admin ✧ IT Manager
Hiring remotely in a wide area can be challenging. Recruit supports posting a hybrid or remote position in multiple locations based on the settings of each position, enabling you to easily expose the entire relevant geographic area of a position for potential candidates.
Primary location: This is used in position list filters and reports. This field can only contain one location name.
Posting locations: These are additional locations you would like to share and post the position at.
Add a new location
You can add a new location to a position based on the locations configured in the Location settings at the Company level (this requires an Admin role).
From the left-side menu, select Settings > Localization > Locations.
-
Click ➕ Add location.
Alternatively, you can add the location directly from the Description tab of the relevant position:
Regardless of the approach you choose, when you add a location, a dialog box will open and prompt you to configure:
Location profile
The Profile is the default tab when the dialog box opens. From this tab, configure the following:
Location name – Free text
Time zone – Choose the relevant time zone. The default is based on your company settings.
Language – Choose the relevant language. The default is based on your company settings.
Regional format for date & time – Choose a date and time format from the dropdown list to localize based on the language and regional conventions of each specific location. The configured format is then used in interview invites and other email templates that include date and time attributes.
Office calendar – Use the office calendar for interview invites in addition to the interviewer's calendar. The office calendar then receives invites when in-person or interviews are set for the specified location.
📝 Note: The default date and time format is set at the company level. The default for this parameter in Recruit is English (US) and can be changed by the company Owner or Admin via the Company settings. The regional formats of specific locations can also be customized by an Owner or Admin in the Regional format for date & time field of your company account settings.

Include arrival instructions for candidates to help them find their way to in-person interviews.
Non-physical addresses
Start typing and select the relevant locations from the dropdown list that dynamically opens.
Make sure to enter valid city and country names to ensure your integrated job boards post the position in the relevant location.
When entering non-physical addresses:

From the left-side menu, select Settings > Localization > Locations.
Find and click the location you would like to update. The Edit Locations dialog box will open.
Edit the location as necessary and make sure to include all the mandatory details. Recruit will indicate if there is any mandatory information missing.
