The Opening approval report helps you better understand the volume of approved openings for a selected period and how many openings are currently pending approval. The period filter is based on the opening creation date.

What you can do with this report

• Monitor currently ongoing approval processes to identify which of them should be fast-tracked

• Review the data of completed approval processes, with an emphasis on metrics such as average time-to-send and average time-to-approve to recognize potential bottlenecks

• Slice the opening approval process data by various criteria to explore and investigate which approval processes were delayed and what caused such delays

• Analyze the ups and downs in the number of approved openings over time to identify periods of considerable trend changes and understand what caused such shifts

• Assess the performance of individual approvers to ensure that the approval process proceeds smoothly and efficiently

The report is divided into these sections:

• KPIs – Get a glance at metrics relating to concluded and ongoing approval processes

• Opening approval trend – Identify trends for concluded approval processes over time

• Opening approval summary – Slice and analyze aggregated data relating to approved openings by selected criteria

• Approved opening – Review a detailed list of all openings approved within the selected period

KPIs

By default, this section displays data taken from the current month, featuring the following metrics:

• Pending openings – Total number of openings currently pending approval

• Pending: not yet sent for approval – Total number of pending openings that have not been sent for approval yet

• Pending: sent for approval – Total number of openings currently pending approval that have already been sent for approval

• Approved openings – Total number of approved openings created within the selected period, including rejected openings

• Average time to send (days) – Average number of days from the opening creation date to the date the opening is sent for approval

• Average time to approve (days) – Average number of days from the sent-for-approval date to the date it is either approved or rejected

Opening approval trends

The Opening approval trends chart enables you to identify and highlight trend patterns by various time intervals, featuring the following values:

• Approved

• Average time to send (days)

• Average time to approve (days)

By observing trend shifts in the number of approved openings, the average time-to-send, and the average time-to-approve you can investigate the causes for such shifts, learn from them, and improve your hiring process accordingly.

Opening approval summary

The Openings approval summary table provides aggregated data of concluded approval processes, featuring the following values:

• Approved

• Average time to send (days)

• Average time to approve (days)

You can slice the data by selected criteria, including the default and custom position fields and additional fields such as approver.

The Approved opening details table features the default and custom position fields along with additional data points such as opening creation date, opening open date, approver, and many more.
